If it could all be reduced to "high school sucks", we'd see a LOT more
acts of carnage like the one we witnessed on Tuesday.  Actually, while
I'm surprised we don't see more such incidents, the fact that we don't
suggests that there are mechanisms in place that stop frustrated teens
from blowing away their tormentors.

It's been suggested that Klebold & Harris' actions were a "crime of
passion".  Isn't a crime of passion an action that takes place in the
heat of the moment?  Clearly not the case in Littleton.  It took a lot
of time and planning to assemble and plant all of those bombs.

As for "boys being boys", has anyone else noticed that this alleged
"trend" of students shooting students in U.S. high schools in the last
18 months has been perpetrated almost exclusively by males?  Does this
disturb anyone else on this list?

Just a few thoughts...
