Re: RAT ANTI-NATO-ART

Ya know, folks--- this WAS all about a website. A Serbian website, true-
but a website. I simply copied the letter I sent them as an FYI- so that
peole could see I was not neutral on the situation.

And, oddly enough, writing that letter did not make me feel better- it made
me feel worse. It was almost as if for the first time, I was forced to
confront the fact that we were dropping bombs not on a government, but on
real actual people who have websites and art openings that are mostly
ignored and argue among themselves about the exact difference between
violet and indigo..... These people, who I would probaqbly like over a RAT
SASS, had decided that I was a terrorist because of my complicity in
NATO's actions. And maybe I am. Maybe omission and comission are the
same. Maybe that makes these Serbian artists terrorists as well. Maybe at
that point distinctions cease to matter. But no, Aileen , I felt worse-
not better - for writing that letter.
Go to the website and see if it doesn't stir something in you, as well....

Glen, thank you for your kind belief in my passion and dedication- but if
I was truly dedicated I'd be in Belgrade, or Kosovo, or out in the street
right now, right? Not composing missives on my Power Mac. :)

I don't fell that were talking about Kosovo anymore, by the way . At all.
And that's totally fine. I didn't hatch an evil plan to deluge Tim with war
mail. : )

I think we're talking about something much more real and personal- our own
hardwiring, the prisms we see the world through. It's fascinating,
important, and maybe even real.

I didn't know this little conversational wormhole was here, but it's so
nice to finally hear some of you again.

Peace out,

BBrad
