Very cool to see a John Lennon song referenced in your closer.

I've got a Master's from USC. Nobody cares except other universities, and
that's about teaching gigs (I've taken a few of them over the years). And
USC has been very good about keeping my name floating around and
recommending me for paying gigs. As you point out, the grad degree is
important if you think it's important and want one, and isn't if you don't.

Didn't know you'd worked in San Diego. Do you know Mike Hemmingson and the
Fritz people?
