Never saw that Nutcracker-- tho I did study a bit with Paula Vogel  (I went
to the Trinity Rep Conservatory 1986-88-- and she came and taught a little
playwriting.  Of course this is when she couldn't get lunch bought for her,
when Trinity wouldn't even deign to read her plays, and people at Brown
weren't even sure she taught there.  Now it's a different story, of course.


I sympathize of course with the sold out show yesterday-- can't get lunch
bought today syndrome.  That's a fact of life in a timebased medium such as
theatre.  A bum yesterday, a hero today, a bum tomorrow.
