Re: RAT what is forward thinking now...

what was once a movement of inquiry, demanding

So, what's new? This happens to every movement.

To the best of my recollection, no one on the staff of FringeNYC <ever>
touted that it's presentations would be experimental in nature. We had an
"experimental" category at first (I'm talking the first year only) but
that quickly went the way of a non-biased adjudication process. There is
<no> definition of "fringe" in the United States. Though it is often
assumed that "fringe" means avant-garde and/or experimental this is not
correct. For every company that defines itself as fringe via its
experimental work, there are several others who define themselves as
fringe via their economic constraints. She's assuming a definition that
is incorrect.
