a friend sent this and i think it should be sent out to others

we have just been murdered massacred
in this part of the world we say that the u.s. ‘america’ has been
attacked
if only it were so small, so simple
it is hope for peace that has been attacked
murdered,
killed dead
me, i no longer feel optimistic, no romantic hope for ‘peace’ in
the near future
peace between the ‘us’ and the ‘them,’ the enemy, the arabs
the hope for peace in israel/palestine
no hope for freedom mutual shared dignity for all claiming the
tortured land
‘mine!’
this has been purposefully  obliterated
if those hateful terrorists murderers of so many of innocent humans
were ‘arabs'
(it is sadly likely that they are)
then it is now that the arab populations must show ourselves proud,
vocal, and visible!
LET ME EXPLAIN:
we arabs must be proudest at this scary sad angry time to say to be
who we are
we must shout to the world and each other:
"i am not a terrorist!  i am an artist scientist businessperson
philosopher teacher doctor athlete hero beloved loving family member friend 
citizen human!
while i am of the population that identifies as arabic muslim or
middle eastern i also belong to other populations: african asian
caribbean european north or south or central american.
i would not kill hurt anyone for the propaganda of hate.
though i may have reason to be angry, i would never condone, celebrate or 
commit the killing of even one innocent life,
no matter the strength or righteousness of my anger.
murder will never bring us justice and those of us aware of this must make 
ourselves known!
i, like you, spent yesterday in deep tears."
and it is right now that americans westerners europeans and
israelis, must shout to the other part of the world and each other, the 
"them":
"i am an american, a european, an isreali.  i am not a racist!
i do not value you less than myself if you are a muslim hindu
buddhist agnostic atheist a brown, black, yellow skin.
i know that all populations of our communal race deserve a life
of peace, dignity and freedom to live without fear of hurting
or being hurt by others.  i would neither hate nor hurt kill
you for propaganda or crimes by small minorities of your populations.  i, 
like you, spent yesterday in deep tears."
me myself, i am an egyptian an african an arab an american
i am very proud of who i am i can not fade back and accept that some parts 
of who i am are valid worthy,
that other parts are shameful hateful criminal dirty
i am also an artist (sometimes) and a scientist (sometimes)
and a philosopher and a friend daughter sister lover human always
i, like you, spent yesterday in deep tears.
i agree with george w. on one thing
LET ME EXPLAIN:
this incredibly ignorant shameful atrocious slaughter equals an
‘act of war,’ an ‘attack on freedom itself!’
but it is not a war against just the u.s., the ‘american’ people
it is a war of fear and ignorance against the world love and tolerance
if my humble words of human pride have affected you, caused you to
think, consider, then please send this to someone(s) who may also
affected…
