RAT Hart and Kaufman

i realize it was a passing example, but still i can't resist the chance to
voice that i think YOU CAN'T TAKE IT WITH YOU, is not only not "unbelievably
trivial" in the context of the last few days, but an important american play
that celebrates the joy of the family, the community, and enjoying the
important things in life because after all RATS, it's true "you can't take
it with you." i would love to see a production of it after the last couple
of days because it is american in the best sense: chaotic, free-spirited,
embracing numerous cultures, skeptical, and damn funny. russian dancer and
wall street businessman learn there really isn't much difference between
their lives and so, dance.

HAY FEVER i haven't read or seen but i'd welcome a production of OUR TOWN in
the coming weekend too. please email me off-list for the complete list of
plays that i was in during high school, all of which i'd advocate reviving.

warmly,

deron
