"ASK THE EXPERTS" LECTURE SERIES SCHEDULE- SUMMER 2001

July 8 - JACK WARD on Ward's Baths & The Ward Family History dating back to
the original land deeds from the Town of Gravesend.
July 15 - HORACE BULLARD  owner of the Shore Theater, Thunderbolt Roller
coaster and potential developer of Coney Island amusements.
July 22 - GENE RITTER diver and  underwater archeologist; the man who
discovered the remains of the Dreamland Pier
July 29 - MERMAID AVENUE STORIES with Frank Giordano of Friscia
Pharmacy and James Price of Major Prime Meats
August 5 - LANDMARKING WORKSHOP with Jane Cowan, Dick Zigun, others with the
intention of preparing an application to the NYC Landmarks Commission for
several buildings in  Coney Island. Walking Tour to six buildings deserving
landmark status.
August 12 - MAE TIMPANO on life in the house under the Thunderbolt
Rollercoaster
August 19 - The Future of Coney Island- Dodger Hall of Fame,
Resort Hotels, Waterpark.. What's coming next?
August 26 - FRIENDS OF THE BOARDWALK with Michael Higgins, Martin Levine,
Ida Sanoff and others concerned about environmental issues, Boardwalk
development, etc.
September  2 - closed for Tattoo & Motorcycle Show
September 9 - SWAP MEET & ART AUCTION starting 6 PM (Vendors Welcome)
September 16 - STANLEY FOX on Penny Arcades in Coney Island

All at the Coney Island Museum, Sundays at 8pm. Free for members of Coney
Island USA, $5 for all others
