RAT Important Info About TCG "Open Mike" Performances
All those who are set for, or are planning to do, or thinking about
doing, the "Open Mike" gig at the TCG conference at the University of
Pennsylvania. (10PM-?2AM)
I just talked face-to-face with Vicky Abrash, who is running the TCG
conference. Apparently they only had one person show up to do Open Mike
last night and, of course, had some trouble luring people from the bar to
watch.
So... tonight or Friday night could be a really good opportunity to do
your material for a theater-honcho audience, but you may have to drag
them over from the bar. (Vicky said that they were going to try to do
better at getting audiences, but Open Mike has got to be the least of her
worries :))
For tonight (or tomorrow night) you will either need to go over to
Annenberg today and sign up on the sheet there, or just go in to the Inn
at Penn after 10PM and sign up ala comedy club signups. (When someone
from RAT dropped out of the group of open-mikers Dwight sent Vicky, they
just decided to have sign-up-on-the-spot. So, if you signed up through
Dwight, you aren't officially signed up.) If you email me directly
(cat@virtualdrama.com) BEFORE 2PM today I'll go over and physically sign
you up myself.

By the way, my 5 minute comedy sci-fi monologue, "Welcome Aboard"
(TAGLINE: "The tour guide on an alien abduction ship welcomes new
passengers") will be performed twice tonight by Marjorie Goldman: once
(at 9:30) at the RAT opening celebration, and again at 10:30 PM at the
TCG Open mike.
