The contribution of
Alfred Wolfsohn, Roy Hart and the Roy Hart Theatre to vocal
expression
The International Centre for Voice based at The Central School of Speech and Drama will be hosting, under the auspices of ELIA a week of workshops and conferences on Roy Hart Theatre. Confirmed practitioners will include Kevin Crawford, Margaret Pikes and Noah Pikes. Confirmed conference speakers will include Marita Gunther, Sheila Braggins, Vicente Fuentes and Linda Wise. The conference and workshops will provide a practical insight into the Roy Hart Theatre. The International centre for Voice is also delighted to host a unique performance by Jonathan Hart Makwaia entitled The Wild is Rising.
The workshops Monday 9th Ð Friday 13th July. These run daily from 10.00am Ð 5..30pm (with an hour and a half break for lunch) with the exception of Friday when there will be an opportunity for feedback and discussion. Participants will have the opportunity to work with two of the following prctitioners: Kevin Crawford, Margaret Pikes, Noah Pikes or Linda Wise. The cost for the workshops will be £285.00.
The Conference Friday 13th Ð Sunday 15th July. The conference will bring together leading practitioners from the Roy Hart Theatre tradition with voice teachers, directors, critics and therapists to provide a series of presentations and debates that will help to place the work in its context and enable participants to make a unique assessment of the contribution of Roy Hart Theatre to the world of vocal expression. The cost for the conference will be £120.00
