RAT Promo: Red Snow/Theater In My Basment

Friends, loved ones, alla youse,
You're especially invited to the event of the century/new millenium/or at
least the event of early June.
Theater In My Basement is proud to be presenting:
Red Snow
(it was called Definitive Ancestors before the US Military closed the case
file for unknown reasons)
a play by Chris Danowski
co-directed by Chris Danowski & Cherri Macht
to be presented at Theater In My Basement (3317 - 40th Ave. S.) June 1-3 at
8 p.m. ($10 donation suggested, the suggestion coming, again, from the US
Military)
and at Gus Lucky's Art Gallery (1626 E. Lake Street) June 7-9, 11th, and
June 14-16th (also at 8 p.m.), adsmission is $10.
all proceeds will of course be used toward dismantling the
military-industrial complex (and possibly toward cheetos for the starved
cast members who are doin this for love--possibly for power, too, but I'm a
little paranoid and kinda wonder about people & their motivations in
general. ok the truth is I don't know why they said they'd do this, but
they are, & well there you go).
Red Snow is a fragment of a comic nightmare set underground in a US Air
Force outpost in Alaska in 1959, the year Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens, and
the Big Bopper died. The soldiers are maintaining their precarious sanity,
while being haunted by rabbits, ancestors from the future, and chemical
experiments (which are having a profound affect upon their collective and
personal memories). A culture of violence moving toward aphasia. Pacifist
soldiers, the line between the living and the dead, bad accordion music, and
what's the word, aphasia.
The show promises to be visually stunning, as well as a bombardment to the
senses, with an occasional all-out nervous fit of laughter. It features the
mimetic/semiotic talents of Cherri Macht, Jessica Zakrzewski, Tony Kuehn,
Tom Lynch, and Chris Danowski. Also featuring the visual art talents of the
great Lisa Arnold. The doge-ical stylings of the fantastic Robert Baum.
The string pulling talents of John (come see John Troyer's Apartment during
the Fringe, come see John Troyer's Apartment during the Fringe) Troyer
(monologist, provacatueur, madman, maverick). And the generous support of
TIMB's AD Barbe Marshall, birdwoman genius and magical presence.
Please come.
Call 612-721-8779 for reservations.
Please note the for the Theater In My Basement performances, space is
severely limited (15 people per show), and will fill up quickly.
Tell your friends. This is our 4th all-out production as a new company, and
I think we've nailed it on this one.
with all due respect, and deep affection, yours in Oxala,
woop woop
