Re: RAT In support of in-home, in-class, on-line theater



It's important to the *theater* to label broadcast live performance as
theater, so that a direct connection can be made in the minds of people
who wouldn't consider going to see a theatrical performance -- unless
it's improv. The risk here is losing an entire generation of potential
audience members. Think of live broadcast as advertising, audience
development, whatever. Potential audience members need  to see that
theater can be many things -- and can speak to their interests, and the
most efficient way to do that is online.
