no gabby this $50,000 is a grant for individual artists, not a grant to a 
theater. so its 2 of 173 artists. so lets say these are a lot better odds 
then the million to one shot at Atlantic City gaming tables. the theaters are 
funded differently. i bet most theaters get something if they fill out the 
forms correctly and show a production history. the big eight (or 15) or 
whatever, do quite well thank you. the PEW grant is of course not the only 
individual artist grant available. the PA council and many others offer 
support in different ways. my point is that the defacto demise of the NEA has 
not made Philly a funding wasteland. just the opposite.
