Re: RAT scheduling process
Right. I'm only interested in more careful planning because it's a rare
Philadelphia event -- but definitely fits here, and I want (in my own,
didactic way) to make sure that people 1) aren't scared off by it and 2)
definitely get to see how they can use different aspects of it in their
work. (Ritual tends to translate into bad theater / bad performance art.
"Oh my God, they're going to do this mantra for 10 minutes!" for people
exposed to performance experiments where the author and cast "get into"
the ritual effect, or use it as time-filler. (Also a problem in dance.).
That's why I mentioned the difference between participatory and
non-participatory ritual, since, in most spiritual contexts there *is no*
non-participatory ritual.
