i just got involved with this...living in philly
now...former editor of RANT, member of the
Unbearables...

philly has a thriving anarchist community...whose
branches extend into radical puppets (as seen
prominently at the RNC protests), microbroadcasting,
music, art, etc..

as an occultist, i've been doing work/writing
manuscripts regarding the synthesis of magick and
activism...spontaneous ritual tech, directed actions,
chaos mines...i'd prefer to blur the lines between
ritual and political action. also involved with some
ritual performances as mystery plays...a few years ago
we performed one at the shubin theater, and we've held
"the night of 1000 heresies" at the Fleischer art
memorial as well as a recent staging of a mystery play
based on Inanna's descent into hell...it was a
particpatory ritual play that included the audience,
who traversed the same path that Inanna does as she
strips and heads through the next gates.

i'd like to bring the idea of ritual into this
conference, as ritual and theater were once (in some
cultures) inextricable.
