Dear All,

The Weird Sisters are performing in NY city for one night only, following
their run at Orlando Fringe, Florida, April 20-29.

Our NY showcase is at PLAYHOUSE 91, 316 E. 91st St (between 1st and 2nd),
April 30, 7.30pm.

It is FREE, and we are looking for people to make up our audience (we are
inviting lots of producers etc too). Please, if you know ANYONE in New York
who might like to see our new show, please email them, giving them the
information, and cc the email to us so we can follow-up.

Here is some info about the show itself, for those of you who have not yet
seen it:

Cheap Day Return

devised by Kath Burlinson, Alison Goldie and Cal McCrystal
directed by Cal McCrystal designed by Chris deWilde

‘Superb, twisted, bloody funny...daring female comedy from girls with balls’
What’s On (London)

Come on the trip of a lifetime!

Take one ludicrously vain actress. Add one stupid sidekick. Then let these
two misfits take you on a theatrical world tour, playing 24 unlikely
characters from all the four corners of the globe.

Result: Cheap Day Return, an outrageous, uncensored, unforgettable comedy.

Meet Ken and Helga Müller, cruise-liner cabaret veterans; Puebla and Guava,
scantily-clad Peruvian peasants; ‘Shine’, an American
nutritionist/contortionist, and Martin, a wannabe drag queen from South
London. And that’s just for starters.

Previously renowned for their ‘utter lack of inhibition’, The Weird Sisters
break new ground in this blatantly sexy, grotesque, absurd show, directed by
comedy king Cal McCrystal (Spymonkey, Peoplykus, Mel & Sue, The Boosh).

Not suitable for children or faint-hearted adults. Sexually explicit
material.

The Weird Sisters’ have previously won five international theatre awards and
a nomination for Best Ensemble, The Stage Awards, Edinburgh 2000. In Cheap
Day Return, their comic talents are brought irrefutably to the fore. A wild
new women’s double-act has arrived.
