RE: RAT Re: like the who when they're good
Why name names?
No two things are mutually exclusive. This is one of the great mysteries of the world, and we crawlers are no exception to it.
Saints have been farmers, dukes, doctors, queens and seamstresses. And why not playwrights?
Does the work of the saint prevent the work of the playwright? Or vice versa?
Not if either work is really itself. In my far-from-humble opinion.
You want to get into the miracle criterion? Define "miracle." If communication, communion and hospitality are not miracles, I wonder what is.

I've never met a playwright saint. Of course I know much more about god
than I do Theater. But Megan, you're at the Playwrights Center, so please
name names. And don't start with Erik Ehn. His Saint Plays cause theater
but not miracles. The bane of his existence, I'm sure.
And even if I were to give you the First Folio of the Rain Dance, what a
worthless piece of nothing that would be.
So too the Rat Conference only when the author(s) disappear. Philadelphia
as host but not AUTHORity.
Guest and host share the etymon with stranger and enemy. Saintly RAT would
perform similar miracle.

Important derivatives are: guest, hostile, hospital, host1, hostage.
Stranger, guest, host; properly "someone with whom one has reciprocal
duties of hospitality."
