I can't come to the RAT conference this year but I would like to make a plug for a discussion or seminar or whatever about using the internet to set up local RAT lists. We did that here in in LA about 3 years ago and it COMPLETELY transformed the community. 

If you like the RAT list, imagine similar discussions with people who are doing work you can actually go see. Imagine long email threads about where to buy paint. Imagine an elaborate prop (say for instance, a wheelchair!) that has been used in so many productions at so many theaters that no one is sure who originally owned it...but we all worship it. Really.
