They are trying to collect 1 million letters for Chuck to publish a book
about Chuck's effect on people...
If you don't know who Chuck Jones is, you should. He's the animotor who
created Pepe Le Pew, Coyote and Roadrunner, and directed and drew some of
the best classic Warner Bros. cartoons (including Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck,
and Foghorn Leghorn) Basically, when it comes to comedy cartoons, he's the
man, a genius on the level of Chaplin, Picasso, and Hitchcock.
I think I've told this story before, but when Chuck came to visit us at
Clown College (in 1989, which was the first year he ever visited) he said
something that has really been on my mind for years as a way of doing my
work. He said "You have two choices; you can walk through a funny door, or
you can walk through the door funny."
I later named my producing theatre company The Acme Clown Company in homage
to Chuck and his work, and especially his "door funny"
So if you are interested in writing, check it out!

> We have started a project to compile letters written to Chuck. Everywhere

> The letters certainly don't need to be any particular format or subject.
> Every person seems to have a different message that they would love to tell

> We hope we'll inspire all of you to participate by this request.
