TENACIOUS D is the self proclaimed "GREATEST BAND IN THE WORLD!!!"  It's
two portly guys playing acustic guitars.  I used to describe them to
friends as punk madrigal, but they call themselves Metal/Folk (or is it
folk/metal?  They care about the distinction.).  Heavy metal pretentions,
played on nylon strings.  Andre Segovia licks with Snoop Dog lyrics.  Very
smart.  I think very funny.  The stand and play like Crosby and Nash...
then knock over the mic. stands at the end of the song, to show how butch
they are.  Mark Seldes could give a better description, but this will give
you an idea.
