RAT shamless big art group self promotion
Hey all, I'm posting bigartgroup's newsletter to the list, hoping that
some of you will find it interesting. We've been doing it for a couple
of months now and its been a big success in keeping our audiences,
prospective audiences, and friends informed of our workings between
shows. We keep our email list on egroups (like the BCT list) and its
been growing... now to around 300 people. let me know what you think
(off list) Good luck with everyone's projects....p.s what has everyone
been up to lately... Have any shows to recommend in NYC?

and projects.
This month we have news on:

and as always our Recommended List in NYC

SHELF LIFE:
We have been on hiatus for Shelf Life for the holidays and will begin
official rehearsals this week at the Kraine Theatre where we are a
resident company. Here is the newest description of the work for your
titillation.
WASTE MANAGEMENT AND SELF WORTH
Watch a live movie unfurl on stage, a film in which the desperate James,
Wendy, and Max, living in an pervasively disposable world, become
obsessed with the alluring Frankie. Each tries to possess and mold her
in the form of their own media-induced desires, even as she uses them as
a means to her own consumptive ends. Fueled by jealousy, rage, and
betrayal, this "love quadrangle" ignites into a bizarre and tragic
struggle over the ownership of happiness. Big Art Group's newest play
dives deep into our garbage-loving culture and tells a tender cinematic
love story doomed to sour in Shelf Life.

bigartgroup.com:
We have updated our web site (http://www.bigartgroup.com) with new group
and associate bios and added functionality so that our audience can add
their name and address to our snail mail list to receive our post cards
for upcoming events. Also, as we move into rehearsals for SHELF LIFE we
will be updating the "current" page with notes, sketches, video and
pictures.

Intern:
We have received many new intern applications and we're wading through
them as you read this.
An internship with our company is an opportunity to be part of an award
winning ensemble that creates original, creative, and progressive
theatrical pieces as well as experiencing many aspects of our work from
creation to production and post-production.
We are looking for self-starters who are creative, committed, and
willing to aggressively explore the boundaries of contemporary
performance. We are always taking applications so if you or anyone you
know is interested send a resume and cover letter, with picture (does
not have to be a headshot) to:
