RAT Anyone want to Mine DC?

Greetings from Washington, DC.  Just got our first snow, LA-eat your heart
out.

Thought I’d toss this out to you guys and see if there areany takers:

I am working with the International Campaign to BanLandmines (ICBL),
recipient of the 1997 Nobel Peace Prize.  We are planning an international
conferencein DC (the first in the Americas) to be held in March of 2001.

While American branch of the campaign is being veryconservative, our dynamic
programme assistant and I feel as though it is vitalto go back to the
grassroots subversion of the dominant mechanism for effectingsocial change
that brought about the Mine Ban Treaty in the first place.  We’re thinking
guerilla tactics, DC style(read: no spray paint on Federal property.) We’re
thinking theatre.  So,naturally I thought of you guys.

Anyone have work relating to landmines?  Anyone want to create a piece?
Anyone want to do street theatre in DC inMarch?

There is almost no money, I may take a few hundred out of mypocket to cover
some expenses, but Jackie (programme assistant, you guys willlove her) and I
will do our best to find you a crash pad.  Maybe we could expand this into a
mini RATconference?

Thoughts?  Feel freeto take this off group so not everyone is inundated with
our chatter.  Or let them exercise their delete buttons, your call.  The
website for ICBL is www.icbl.org if you want to find out more aboutus.
