last i checked theatre is not a solo. playwrights who don't swim (or dance) 
need to do readings for their friends or civilians. my company yells and 
screams a lot, and sometimes talks sweetly. anyone of them is liable to be 
dramaturge for the day (or the moment). breaking the eggs... for the 
omelet... or so the alligator can jump out... after a while you get this 
tough callous. defense against the critics and your friends and 
collaborators. there's a private place where i still know what i think. or at 
least, so far, i can still run or crawl back there when i need to. 

what about poor brad's ticket.
