whoops, i see we're sending emails at the same time. 

by now, you may have seen my second email, with the
list of books.  the people who wrote those are all
superb dramatrugs--michael lupu is with the guthrie,
for one--and the books contain the writings of many
other wonderful, even great, dramaturgs.  i'd add
michele volansky, formerly of steppenwolf and now with
philadelphia theatre company, michael dixon at actors
theatre of louisville, len berkman who works at new
york stage and film and the mark taper, david kranes
who was the head of sundance playwrights lab--and this
is just scratching the surface.  

tell me, tell me true, have i won your hearts at
