Respectfully, I'm happy to relinquish absolute authority.
In fact, what choice do I have?  The final written word
becomes the spoken word, then the heard word, and down
that road lies a whole slew of interventions beyond my
absolute control.  

And yet: writing satisfies me.  Perhaps I've just had
more good experiences than bad.
