Could only take about five
minutes of the convention before I was in a snit listening to Lieberman go on
about Tipper restoring the moral center to America and how American parents have
to compete with pop culture to raise their kids. Compete? We hand
our children over lock stock and barrel--very willingly. How many parents
use television and video to babysit their children? I know someone who
complains constantly about what's on television and in the movies, but her son
has been planted in front of the television for the last 13 years that I've know
them, because she can't be bothered with him. Maybe parents should try
harder to COMPETE with pop culture. Too easy to blame others
for our own abdications.
I'm done now. Thank
you fer yer attention.
By the way--did anyone catch
"Moses" doing the NRA commercial on MS-NBC?
"Those poor
kids. So young. So nauseous."
