Re: RAT questions

I think we need our Barba - an embodied point of view and method to react
to. Barba works, but I'm also looking for something more home grown, and
Gaby's mention of immediatism brings up Hakim Bey again. Maybe we also need
a single, real place (our Odin Teatret) or event (beyond the crucial,
semi-organic and morphing meetings) that we all try to get to and undergo.
Sort of like a school but more like a rite of passage that involves peers
discovering one another through training (acting, present tense writing,
math, music, precision). How do we make such a thing happen? How real is
Hakim? Can we structure three weeks with him? Does a company like Rude
Mechanicals want to offer a national theater lab? How far away are we from
such a thing - from the best place to be and the best time to be there - our
treehouse/green?

Conversation is an action. Learning (remebering and sharing the fruits of
conversatinon) is an action. Performing is an action. We're doing plenty.
As a feature of a national culture (de facto; in some way; whether we like
it or not) are we acting with effective focus? Meeting in the flesh focus
conversation... how do we move on to a collective focus on learning from one
another (in detail) and performing in a common context?
