RAT Howdy from Dallas -- and a plug

Hi Folks,

two things:

(1) (the plug)

If you're out Dallas way, stop in at the Second Annual Festival of
Independent Theatres. We have nine theater companies doing eleven one acts.
I directed the "Difficulty of Crossing a Field" by Mac Wellman, and there
are shows with other Dallas RAT-Listers (Fortitude by Kurt Vonnegut,
directed by Mark Farr)

Those shows (and the festival as a whole) have gotten a really nice
response.

here's what Mark Lowry of the Star-Telegram had to say about "Difficulty":

...
Another marvel is Core Performance Manufactory's stunningly realized
production of Mac Wellman's "The Difficulty of Crossing A Field," about a
slaveholder (Martin Holden) forced to explain his sudden disapeparance in a
field. The collaboration of director Elizabeth Ware, movement coach Deanna
Deck and sound/music designer Kim Corbet make for [a] production that's as
thought-provoking as it is thrilling.

...

Performance dates are July 15th at 2pm, July 21st at 8pm, July 22nd at 8pm
and July 29th at 5pm.

Austin RATs -- we may be coming South with the show later in the year --
we'll let you know.

(2) (gettin' to know ya)

I'll be out West once the festival closes. August 4 - 9 I'll be in Los
Angeles, Aug 10 - 15 I'll be in San Francisco. Love to meet some of you,
see your shows, drink -- whatever.

Sorry I'm missing the Bottom's Dream / Sun & Moon plays...

That's it for now.

Thanks,
Liz Ware
