Re: RAT Union update?

The sun has set on Phase Two of nonunion to union membership. Phase
Two was the plan that allowed nonunion actors to join SAG after having
completed 80 hours of volunteer work on strike related actions. (Phase
One is joining the union by being hired onto a commercial shoot and then
not crossing the picket line, or crossing it and then walking off the
shoot. That's still in effect.) SAG didn't want to make any promises it
couldn't keep so it decided to close out Phase Two for now to help
guarantee union membership for those nonunion actors who are currently
signed up. Over 700 at last count.
   In solidarity,
   Jonathan
