On the topic of site-specific work:

I'm not sure if someone has already mentioned this or not, but Vicky Boone
at Frontera@Hyde Park in Austin, Texas organizes an annual site-specific
extravaganza called Mi Casa Es Su Teatro.  Audience members are given a map
of Austin with locations of theatre events marked.  They can drive around
all day taking in performances in people's yards, bathrooms, forests, etc.
She might be a good resource for speaking to site-specific artists or to
talk to about the Mi Casa event itself.
