Theatre Double's  reading series,
Underground Voices
Curated by Brad Rothbart

presents a reading of
Nebraskoblivion
by Chris Conry
directed by David Marcus

  The Nebraskoblivion  cast includes:   Chris McGovern as JAMES, 
Jeffrey Marsh as MARK, Elizabeth Emmons as KATE and Brad Rothbart as 
DAD/TELLER/ACTOR. The reading will  take place at Theatre Double, 
1619 Walnut Street   in Philadelphia on Monday 15 May at 8 pm.  Doors 
will open at 7:30. The reading is  for one night only.  Admission is 
pay-what-you-can, and the space is wheelchair accessible.

About the work American Theatre raved, "Chris Conry, an unknown and 
unproduced 24-year-old playwright, wowed overflow crowds with 
Nebraskoblivion, a dazzling mosaic of lives teetering on collapse."
 
Please join us for  this metafictional look at survival in late '90's 
America.. Following the performance, please stay for our free 
wine-and cheese reception at which you will get the chance to 
informally discuss the work with the  director and actors.

Chris Conry (Playwright) lives in Chicago where he is a bike 
messenger, playwright, and actor, ensemble member of The 58 Group and 
artistic associate of Thirteenth Tribe.  He is currently appearing in 
Tony Kushner's adaptation of A Dybbuk with Red Hen Productions. 
Nebraskoblivion was produced as part of the 1999 Rhinoceros Theatre 
Festival which was graciously hosted by the Curious
Theater Branch.  His first play, Cliff!, was produced in 1997 at his 
alma mater, the University of Chicago.
