RAT HITCHHIKING

Friendly neighborhood RATS-

Our new show is close at hand. If you're in the Bay Area, I hope
you'll come. First weekend, all tix are two for the price of one.

HITCHHIKING OFF THE MAP is about journeys where you come back
different. It's six micro-plays in our "bardic theatre" style, created &
performed by Elizabeth Fuller & myself, and it cross-pollinates the most
ordinary events with strange tumbles into other worlds - up the rim of a
volcano, down the street to the Seven-Eleven, liberating a grocery-store
lobster, falling down the stairs into Yellowstone. It's drawn from myth,
friends' tales, and - having made our living touring for 31 years - our own
memories of many miles traveled.

[[[Warning, sparked by recent quote about sentimentality being the
pornography of the something-or-other: we have no qualms about
sentimentality (or pornography, for that matter) - the show is as
sentimental & as funny & as edgy & as hopeful as your own life is, no more,
no less. Be warned.]]]

HITCHHIKING will continue on our tour repertory - we take it to
Philadelphia in April - so if you don't see it now, there'll be other
times. But as newcomers to the Bay Area, we had wonderful response to our
January show, MATING CRIES, and we'd much enjoy meeting more of the arts
community this time.

We open March 3rd at The Noh Space, 2840 Mariposa in San Francisco
(in the Project Artaud Complex). We play March 3-19, Fri/Sats at 8,
Sundays at 7. It's $15, $12 students & seniors, $10 if you're in a group
of six or more, and as I mentioned, first weekend is 2-for-1. You can call
415-621-7978 for reservations, or if you want to talk with us directly,
it's 800-357-6016.

Hope you'll take the chance on picking up these Hitchhikers.

Peace & joy-
Conrad Bishop
