I am truly amazed and occasionally disturbed at the current rate of
discussion of the cartoon South Park in today's academia. but beyond what
I think of the show and the creators of it and Baseketball, I'm on Bill's
platform. Watch South Park sometime, and discuss with other RATs or
whomever you like. Beyond the offense you may feel, or the laughter you
take guilty pleasure in, the possibilities for discussion, theoretical and
otherwise, are as exciting to me as discussing Charlie and the Chocolate
Factory, book or movie! No matter what the authors intended, what I manage
glean from these pop cultural creations is plenty of grist for my "high
art" inspirational mill.
