Fw: RAT SUPERBOWL INTERVAL HIJINKS

I don't think my alter-ego will make it on, and this discussion is blooming
and closing FAST
Forgive if I end up double posting, I beg you

between

I find this a VERY dangerous attitude. (Particularly if you look at the word
"attitude" within the lexicon of ballet.)

>I think the fact that we deliberately
> blur the line so often is just laziness on our part

I listen to a lot of people wax all prissy on language and art (see recent
postings on this list re:fucking APOSTROPHES); The precious Right and the
wrong ways, etc. I was, until very recently, one of those people. It is its
own particular laziness, following the Rules, establishing A Way. High Art.
I have come to think that perhaps it is much more challenging to open the
mind to allow for the morphing of our language (this is what makes it ALIVE,
Mr. Sweet) and our CONCEPTS of ART.

I must also make mention here, maxed out with frustration, how annoyed I am
at the tendency of people on this list to equate poverty with artistic
worth. Have we really come this far to be dragged back into the
platitudinous aphorisms of The Bible and the like? Aren't we deserving of
more complex paradigms?

AREN'T WE DESERVING OF A LIVING WAGE?
