Re: RAT The Sassies!!!!



I noticed, Christie.  And I saw that production.  And I still remember the 
images, especially the one your referred to in your original nomination, the 
one where men from all over come to whore Erendira.  It was indeed a 
beautiful adaptation of that short story, and a beautiful production.  It's 
lamentable that even with open minds and a true desire to include works from 
all cultures in our canon of "great works", it's still too often the case 
that we don't think of them when we list the "greats".  Perhaps it's because 
we don't see enough of them.  Also, perhaps fairly, if this is a discussion 
of what's been the most influential work, then that may be why those works 
don't come into the discussion.  This is an arguable point.  So please do.
