I think that Jorge Diaz's adaptation of Gabriel Garcia-Marquez's short story 
THE INCREDIBLE AND SAD TALE OF THE CANDID ERENDIRA AND HER SOULESS 
GRANDMOTHER is perhaps one of the most profound, spiritually accessible and 
politically relevant pieces of world theater that I have ever had the 
priveledge of experiencing. Especially the scene where upon virtually the 
world populace comes to 
"whore" Erendira, people of every size, shape political and economic stature 
,religious and atheistic, spanning the gamut of apetite ranging from the 
sacred to the profane, 
one after another they rack the pitiful thinly-boned, frail broken 
marrionette who in at least, for a brief instant may remind us of our own 
guilty pleasure of savoring the mearest sliver of total theater and then 
merely discarding it when we've sated our own gluttony.
