December Props

These 7Up cans were issued in 1976 to commemorate America's Bicentennial. Each of the 50 cans featured a different state, including information about the state and what year it joined the Union. On the reverse side of the 7Up logo are red or blue dots that, when the cans are stacked in the correct order (1-50), create an image of Uncle Sam.

This "distressed" American flag premiered in a production at the St. Mark's Poetry Project, New York in 1993. Since then it has had a long and varied career on stage including productions here in Philadelphia at the Freedom Theater. Most recently it was featured in a production at Bottom's Dream in Los Angeles.
