Re: RAT Conference in Iowa???
first off, happy b-day, mateo, fellow sag (i'm 12/10)
secondly, i had heard from josh furst(RAT & currently
a grad student @ the iowa writers workshop), back in
aug/sept, that there was to be an int'l theatre conf @
the univ of iowa while erik was to be there, jan or
feb 2000. but no mention of RAT was made @ that time.
and thirdly...mitchell! "no 'official' notification"?
shame on you! since when has there been any official
anything? screw official! it looks like RAT is off &
running with int'l RATZ in iowa!
yeah, i can personally testify to the fact that it's a
bitch to get to iowa city. nearest airport is a
municipal one in cedar rapids, therefore WAY too
expensive. next bet is des moines, 1 & 1/2 to 2 hours
away. cheap alternative? fly in & out of o'hare
(chicago) and take a bus down to iowa city (5 hours,
give or take).
haven;t done the chicago one yet, RAT personnage will
be doing it in december, i'll post the results.
RAT 2000: in the cornfields of iowa...in freezing,
fuckin' february, no less!
