<< Nick- As usual , your words are beautiful and (mostly) wise. HOWEVER, re;
 the quote/discussion database: I sense alot of smoke and mirrors.

 The job of collecting, entering and formatting the database is certainly a
 daunting and (nearly) thankless task-God knows it's one I wouldn't lust
 after. Please don't misunderstand what I am about to say, it's a fine and
 beautiful thing, and very much appreciated.

 1) If the intention is for it to be useful to 'the people', why isn't it
 easier for 'the people' to access it's vast resources ? What if the Dancing
 bear posts were the very thing I needed, but didn't know it, and didn't
 happen to stumble on them accidently or after hours of research ( as seems
 to be the case now) ?

 2) If the database is supposed to be by and for the members, why is it
 dominated by quotes from Erik and NIck ? I understand that this isn't meant
 to be so, but if, as you say, the intention is to eliminate bias, I would
 wonder aloud what criteria was used to judge a quote's 'eligibility' for the
 list ? What paradigm of dominance was empowered in order that the Editor
 could make the virtual blue pencil glide across cyberspace and land on those
 particular pundits ?

 Just thought someone should ask.
